Trap Points At Hutt Workshops Northern Entrance

The siding leading to the Hutt Workshops northern entrance is fitted with trap points to protect the Gracefield Industrial Line. This page records the Workshops north trap points as they exist in October 2001

I have updated the page with photos taken in 2005 but the configuration is the same as in 2001.

Automatic signalling has been removed from the Branch so the electrical detectors probably no longer serve any purpose.

I have also documented 33B trap points at the southern entrance to the Wokshops.

An account of operations on the Gracefield Industrial Line explains how the line is operated in 2001.

The trap points. At top is the electric detector, which is connected to the switch. Next to it is the switch operating rod and then the indicator operating rod.
